Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

There are three main types of applications that use AutoCAD, depending on the capabilities of the computer hardware on which the software is running: AutoCAD LT, AutoCAD LT 2017, and AutoCAD Architecture.

AutoCAD LT (and also AutoCAD LT 2017) is used for 2D drafting and design, including 2D architectural drafting, floor plans, electrical and mechanical schematics, 2D structural and piping drawings, documentation, and records.

AutoCAD LT 2017 is a step-up version of AutoCAD LT, with a more powerful feature set that includes many new drafting tools, drawings, and templates. AutoCAD LT 2017 is a better design tool than AutoCAD LT, even though it’s aimed at the same market.

AutoCAD Architecture is a non-CAD application that is designed to provide a high-level, design-centric view of architectural drawing projects.

Key features

AutoCAD has a strong feature set, including the following key features:

AutoCAD uses a “paper space” interface. That is, to create a drawing, you draw on the computer screen using the mouse and the menus that appear on the screen. There is a toolbar that appears on the top of the screen, with icons for the most common tasks (such as drawing, importing, editing, etc.). The most recently used commands are also available as floating icons. For example, to create a new drawing, you select the “Draw” icon on the toolbar.

Drawing Tools

AutoCAD provides a wide variety of drawing tools that are designed to help users create professional-quality drawings. Some of these tools require that you first create a drawing, then add toolbars. You can create, draw, and edit multiple drawings at once.

The following is a list of drawing tools provided by AutoCAD:

CAD Toolbar

AutoCAD provides several toolbar types: the basic toolbar, which is the toolbar that appears when you start AutoCAD; the standard toolbar, which appears when you first open a drawing; and toolbars that are specific to drafting and design, such as the pipe and conduit toolbars. If you need to create your own custom toolbars, you can do that in AutoCAD using its built-in customization tools.

AutoCAD LT has several design toolbars that are not

CAD editing

The first AutoCAD was released in 1987 as Version 1.0 and is a true vector drawing program based on the PostScript system. It was written by John H. Conway and Simon Plimpton at MIT. AutoCAD was originally sold to PDI, a division of Computer Associates. It was licensed to Autodesk, a company which is now a subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard, in 1990. AutoCAD soon became a major product and was the first multi-platform CAD program to be cross-platform from a Windows PC to a Macintosh computer.

It has since developed into a professional and feature-rich CAD package. In 2000 Autodesk acquired Delphion Corporation, developers of ArchiCAD, a 3D modeling and visualization software product. The product was introduced in 1999, based on the principle of a geometry-based 3D file format and a 3D modelling and visualization environment. In 2013, Autodesk acquired Trimble and its 2D/3D engineering tools. Since its acquisition by Autodesk, Trimble has continued to develop 3D, survey and mapping software, as well as an online 3D warehouse.

In 2019, Autodesk bought an Indian CAD software developer, Revit Academy, a subsidiary of Revit, and its sister brand ArchiCAD.

Major revisions

AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, and associated products

The most recent major revision of AutoCAD software is AutoCAD 2018. It was first released to public beta on June 25, 2016 and became publicly available on March 6, 2017. Some of the new features and additions include:
File format extensibility
Global change notification
Migration from AutoLISP
New connections to Visio and Sharepoint
Extended support for Business User on the cloud

Releases of AutoCAD are typically numbered starting with a. The earliest version of AutoCAD was AutoCAD 1.0 (1987). In October 2003, Autodesk released AutoCAD 2009, a major upgrade of AutoCAD 2008.

AutoCAD LT is a variant of AutoCAD, which primarily was intended for the architectural, architectural civil engineering and architecture-related industry sectors. Introduced in 1996, AutoCAD LT is marketed as a CAD management software and suite.

AutoCAD Torrent (Activation Code)

You will be asked to activate the license.
The activation is free, but you will have to register.
You will be able to activate the license file of your software.

On your new license number go to the Autodesk website and fill a registration form.
You will receive a mail with a code.
Use that code to activate the software you have bought.

This procedure is for Windows. For Mac you have to enter the activation code
on a web site of your software. (
